Description
A no-cook, elegant charcuterie board featuring rolled prosciutto roses, brie cheese, crackers, and fresh fruit. Perfect for a quick 5pm dinner or appetizer that looks impressive but requires zero mental energy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6–8 oz (170-225g) Prosciutto di Parma, thin slices
- 8 oz (225g) Brie Cheese wedge
- 2 cups (150g) Crackers (mix of water crackers and seeded crackers)
- 1.5 cups (200g) Grapes (red or green, on the vine)
- 0.5 cup (60g) Marcona Almonds
- 3 tbsp (45g) Fig Jam
- 0.5 cup (75g) Black Olives (Kalamata)
- 1 cup (150g) Strawberries, hulled and halved
- 2 tbsp (30g) Whole Grain Mustard
Instructions
- Prep the Prosciutto Roses: Lay prosciutto slices flat on a clean surface. Roll one slice tightly from end to end like a cigar. Wrap a second slice around the first, fanning the edges out. Repeat to create 8-10 roses.
- Place the Cheese: Position the wedge of Brie in the center of the board as the anchor. Cut into quarters or eighths if serving as a meal, or leave whole for presentation.
- Scatter the Crackers: Arrange crackers around the cheese, fanning them out and standing some up against the wedge for height. Group water crackers on one side and seeded crackers on the other.
- Add Fruits and Nuts: Fill empty spaces with grapes, strawberries, and almonds. Cluster grapes in corners, scatter strawberries near the cheese, and sprinkle almonds loosely around the board.
- Add Savory Elements: Place olives and fig jam in small bowls or dollop jam directly on the board. Add mustard in a tiny dish for easy access.
- Final Touches: Step back and adjust items to ensure the board looks abundant but not cluttered. Serve immediately.
Notes
Let the brie sit out for 20-30 minutes before serving to allow it to reach room temperature and become gooey. Roll prosciutto tightly to ensure roses hold their shape. For a hot day, freeze grapes an hour before serving for a refreshing contrast.
