Description
A cozy, homemade pumpkin spice cold foam latte that takes just 10 minutes to make. Features a rich, fluffy pumpkin-spiced foam topping over warm coffee with a cinnamon sugar rim.
Ingredients
Scale
- For the Cold Foam:
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons (30g) pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tablespoon (15g) granulated white sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk (whole or oat)
- For the Latte:
- 2 cups (480ml) strong brewed coffee or espresso
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (whole or oat)
- For the Cinnamon Sugar Rim:
- 2 tablespoons (30g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- A few drops vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep the glass: Wipe the rim of a mug or glass with a paper towel dipped in water or vanilla extract. Mix sugar and cinnamon on a small plate and dip the rim to coat. Set aside.
- Brew the coffee: Brew 2 cups of strong coffee using a French press or espresso machine. Let it cool slightly for a minute.
- Make the cold foam: In a small bowl, combine heavy cream, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and milk. Use a handheld frother or whisk until the mixture is thick, stiff, and fluffy (about 30-60 seconds).
- Assemble the latte: Pour the warm coffee into the prepared glass, leaving room at the top. Slowly spoon the cold foam over the coffee.
- Serve: Garnish with extra cinnamon if desired. Enjoy immediately, sipping the foam first before mixing it in.
Notes
Ensure heavy cream is very cold for best foam results. Do not overmix or the cream will turn to butter. Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. The foam can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
